DailyGood was created to report on outstanding citizen action, innovative solutions to the world's problems, and to shatter negative stereotypes in the public regarding race, governments, politicians, religion, corporations, education, and inner cities. It was also specifically created to be a for-profit business in order to prove that good news does sell and that it has a right to belong on air.

Meet the Founder, Briana Carnegie |
One person has been the force behind the creation and updating of the DailyGood website and social media feeds. She makes it look like an entire staff of professionals worked behind the scenes, but mostly laboured alone from her student house in London, ON. Today, her website serves 10-20 pages of creative positive news content and is growing exponentially.
"I do it because somebody has to. Someday down the road, I wouldn't want my children always hearing such negative news and believing they live in a horrible society. The key is to start now." EXPERIENCE With experience in television and online news media, Briana has been a producer, director, editor, and videographer. She has worn every hat in her business. Most importantly, Briana is the author of many news articles and essays on almost every topic -- many of which have been highlighted on major news corporations such as CBC, BBC, CBS, and in Rolling Stone among others. “I start every day searching for great stories to share with my community of friends and viewers. Thousands of people have sent me emails and cards, telling me how the website has helped them. You never know when you can have a profound effect on people. . . Now, using social media like our Facebook page, DailyGood fans can create the same profound change by passing on good news to their family, friends and co-workers, which just multiplies the uplift. They can be a positive force in the lives of people around them.” |
Our Values
WHAT DO WE CONSIDER GOOD NEWS?
DailyGood expresses a philosophy of optimism; it showcases current affairs and public opinion that reflects this philosophy. We don’t want to polarize with debate and believe there is plenty of common ground upon which to find agreement. With that said, we know there are bound to be disagreements. When there is, we will lean toward modern common sense, identified by sociologists as people who are invested with an interest in carving out a more sustainable and loving world. OUR GOALS

SUBMIT YOUR OWN GOOD NEWS!
Anyone who has a good news story is welcome to contact us through our website, social media feeds, or in person at our office. Who knows, we might even elevate them to our Latest News Page! Writing Tips: Provide the facts — Who, What, When, Where, How and Why — but make your first sentences the most compelling. Do you have a hook or question to engage the readers? Often, it works well to state the problem, and then, how it was solved (within 2-3 sentences) then give the details in the body of the story. We look forward to seeing your submissions! |
